DJ Synikus Makisimus's JournalWhat Will the Democratic Party Establishment Do in the Aftermath of Another I.C.E. Murder?
Clearly we need a strong response from our leadership. Repeated calls to be calm in the face of a second gestapo murder have already been issued by the Minneapolis Police and other authorities, so the phase one response has been activated. Expected phase two responses of tots and pears are likely forthcoming soon. One can but wonder what response will come from the Democratic Party leadership. Will Democratic Party leaders maximize this to electoral advantage by:
1. writing a strongly-worded letter?
2. holding hearings where members can demonstrate their outrage through grandstanding?
3. move to enact a bipartisan non-binding resolution calling for calm?
4. call for increases to the Homeland Security budget to fund sensitivity training for I.C.E. officers?
5. locking the office door and hiding under their desks?
Bipartisan this, Chuck and Hakeem.
Meanwhile, I wonder how the behavior of their heroic I.C.E. officers is playing in red AmeriKKKa. Id tune in to fascist media, but I just ate.

FIFA releases statement after Donald Trump bans 15 World Cup nations from US
Source: Joe (UK)
Following Donald Trumps decision to impose travel bans on 15 World Cup nations, FIFA has now issued a statement. The US are joint hosts of the next FIFA World Cup, alongside Canada and Mexico, and the travel ban comes into place just a few months before the tournaments start. FIFA has now warned the fans and people interested that a match ticket doesnt guarantee you entry to the country. A match ticket does not guarantee admission to a host country, and fans should visit each countrys government website today for entry requirements for Canada, Mexico and the United States, FIFAs press release states.
Trump announced his administrations decision to indefinitely pause applications for citizens of 75 countries, impacting an estimated two billion people around the globe, in a reported attempt to further curb the level of immigration into the United States. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem previously explained the reasoning for the bans in a strong-worded post on X (formerly Twitter). I just met with the President. I am recommending a full travel ban on every damn country thats been flooding our nation with killers, leeches, and entitlement junkies, she wrote.

I wonder if FIFA Pres. Gianni Infantino will rescind the FIFA Peace Prize now. Yeah, probably not. FIFA still gonna make lots from it. If I were he, however, I'd demand payment in Swiss francs or gold.
AP obtains documents showing Venezuelan leader Delcy Rodrguez has been on DEA's radar for years
Source: Associated Press
When President Donald Trump announced the audacious capture of Nicolás Maduro to face drug trafficking charges in the U.S., he portrayed the strongmans vice president and longtime aide as Americas preferred partner to stabilize Venezuela amid a scourge of drugs, corruption and economic mayhem. Left unspoken was the cloud of suspicion that long surrounded Delcy Rodríguez before she became acting president of the beleaguered nation earlier this month.
In fact, Rodríguez has been on the radar of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration for years and in 2022 was even labeled a priority target, a designation DEA reserves for suspects believed to have a significant impact on the drug trade, according to records obtained by The Associated Press and more than a half dozen current and former U.S. law enforcement officials.
Rodríguezs name has surfaced in nearly a dozen DEA investigations, several of which remain ongoing, involving agents in field offices from Paraguay and Ecuador to Phoenix and New York, the AP learned. The AP could not determine the specific focus of each investigation.
Rodríguez, 56, worked her way to the apex of power in Venezuela as a loyal aide to Maduro, with whom she shares a deep-seated leftist bent stemming from her socialist fathers death in police custody when she was only 7 years old. Despite blaming the U.S. for her fathers death, she steadily worked while foreign minister and later vice president to court American investment during the first Trump administration, hiring lobbyists close to Trump and even ordering the state oil company to make a $500,000 donation to his inaugural committee.

Who knew you could stave off drug trafficking investigations AND an almost certain overthrow/arrest/imprisonment by giving $500K to Trump's inauguration committee?
OK, pretty much everyone.
You kinda gotta wonder what María Corina Machado thinks about this, in the aftermath of her giving up her. Nobel medal to Orange Jesus. If only she'd brought crypto instead.
Meta names former Trump adviser Dina Powell McCormick as president, vice chairman
Source: India Today
Meta Platforms on Monday named former Trump administration official Dina Powell McCormick as its president and vice chairman, boosting the company's lobbying efforts in the US capital.
President Donald Trump congratulated Powell McCormick in a post on his Truth Social account minutes after the company announced her promotion. She is a "fantastic, and very talented, person" who served his administration with "strength and distinction," he said.
Her appointment is the latest in a series of changes Meta has made in the last year that more closely align the company with Trump. Meta is accelerating investments in frontier AI and personal superintelligence. CEO Mark Zuckerberg is seeking Trump's support to build data centers and energy capacity for those projects.
Zuckerberg, ahead of Trump's second inauguration, visited him at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. His company also scrapped its US fact-checking program, elevated Republican Joel Kaplan as the company's new chief global affairs officer and ended its diversity programs, all moves that appealed to Trump. Meta in early January hired former Trump trade adviser CJ Mahoney to lead its legal team, replacing general counsel Jennifer Newstead, who served in former President Joe Biden's administration.

What a shitshow.
Greenland grab has bipartisan support!
Just not if Trump sends in the army, for now anyway.

Oh, and America is not a bully except in Venezuela and Minneapolis and ....
So, does Maduro face the death penalty under the Kingpin Statue?
Does Trump get to prove that he's the manliest manly man ever by killing the horrible evil drug-trafi-king commie enemy? Surely that will get Trump that noble prize, right? Then we'll have to call him "Ser Donald."
, in case you couldn't tell.
Today is the anniversary of the release of the Sex Pistols "Anarchy in the UK"
Originally released on EMI in the UK on 26 November 1976 It wasn't the first record* in the genre that would come to be known as "punk rock," but it was arguably the most important. If you have an original showing Chris Thomas as the producer of the B side, "I Wanna Be Me," nice one!**

Millions of UK workers to get pay rise as Reeves plans increased minimum wage
Source: The Guardian (London)
Millions of low-paid workers in the UK are to get a pay rise of 4.1% next year, as Rachel Reeves confirmed that minimum wage rates will go up as part of the governments ambition to improve living standards.
The national living wage will rise from £12.21 to £12.71 an hour from April for over-21s, which the government said would increase the annual earnings of about 2.4 million workers by £900.
The minimum wage for 18- to 20-year-olds will increase by 8.5% to £10.85 an hour, narrowing the gap with older workers as part of the governments commitment to raise the floor on wages for all workers.

Just for reference, the £12.71 minimum wage for adults converts to $16.73 at todays exchange rate, the £10.85 for 18-21 year-olds converts to $14.28.
Remind me, whats the NATIONAL minimum wage in your shithole country again? Oh yeah, it's $7.25.
The Ashes are happening now!
And I'm sure you're all at the edge of your seats for news about it too. In the first innings, in Perth, the English batted first and didn't make it through the 33rd over, going all out after scoring 172. Bad luck. On the other hand, English bowlers have started with four straight maidens, one of which was a wicket maiden. Very well done.
Thought you'd want to know.
